‘Twas the day before our trip

There were lots of bags to pack

What supplies would I need? I had started to wonder...

I needed to check a calendar; we might want to drink

And who would want to make that social blunder?

So off to the drug store

I flew like a flash

I looked for some gum, a few snacks, and some water

Then I went down the dreaded isle- condoms, tampons and tests

Could it be? Is it true? A son? Or a daughter?

Back to my office, hiding out in a 4^th floor stall

I said a quick prayer and asked a stick for my fate

Wait 3 minutes? Please, no. That seems SO LONG!

But not to worry,  it took mere seconds

For the test to turn up, singing its song.

Oh my gosh! Can it be? What am I going to do?

Shock, fear, excitement, relief, and even despair!

The test came back – the result? Positive!

We’re having a 4^th baby, how to tell Daddy?

My mind is now whirling, but I don’t yet feel festive!       

No worries, you see,

For I have a fun plan

I made him a card, and I’ll tape his reaction

He can read it on our honeymoon –

(I might have to give him a clue – a closed caption!)

So, yes, there it is:
